David and Goliath

The way to beat the monster of corrupt and overbearing government, lies in the individual.

Throughout history we have had many examples of this.

David felled Goliath

One man stood up to the tanks in Tiananmen Square, and helped expose the brutality of the communist China regime.

Gandhi stood up to the British Empire and helped India realize independence.

George Washington lost many battles, but won by taking smaller victories where he could with what he had. Over time he was able to wear out the British forces who were far superior to the motley crew of American Patriots.

And so today, here we are again. It is no longer Great Britain who is the Goliath, but the very government imposed to protect us from such a giant. The American government today is perhaps one of the must tyrannical entities on the planet. Especially when you consider the power and wealth at their disposal.

We learn how to tame this beast in the writings of David and Goliath. We take our victories where we can. The big battles won’t be one immediately, and not in the form of elections for president (unless Ron Paul wins), but in local elections, in state laws, in the people coming together to protect themselves and their neighbors from encroaching government.

Our victories on the battlefield for information lies with the internet, on blogs such as these, where philosophy and politics is laid out for everyone to see.

Do not sit down and allow Goliath to stomp down on you. Stand up, speak out, do something! Take the small victories where you can, and realize that many battles lie ahead in this increasingly bitter war.

In the end, freedom prevails, when there are enough David’s in the room to stand up and stick spears in the beast.

Just as the original American revolution was a hard won battle, so this one will be also. The war was won by a group of individuals who stood up and got together, and stuck through all the hardships, in order to prevail.

The question is; are you prepared to be David?

  1. Yes, yes, YES!!!!!! Ron Paul will not be the president so even when the big government President Obama is gone, there will still need to be a David to stand up to Goliath. Because Obama is just the little toe of Goliath. We must destroy the whole body. Not the toe nail.

    1. In a month’s time we will see if Ron Paul will be able to take a shot at the presidency. Mitt is still not the candidate, and he looked weak on the world stage a couple of days ago. He is as embarrassing to this country as Obama, and just as dangerous. His ties to Netenyahoo are extremely worrying, and Romney’s voting record almost matches Obama’s. If there’s one good thing that Barack has done so far, that is to hold off supporting Israel in its attempt to start WWIII in Iran. Galvanizing the country in a collective war effort would do nothing for freedom in the world.
